An RF termination, also known as an RF load or dummy load, is designed to absorb RF energy while maintaining the characteristic impedance of the transmission line, typically 50 Ω or 75 Ω. Proper RF terminations minimize signal reflections, reduce VSWR, protect transmitters and test equipment, and improve overall system stability in applications such as wireless communication, radar, satellite systems, aerospace, electronic warfare (EW), and RF test laboratories.
Coaxial Terminations are used with coaxial connectors such as SMA, N, 2.92 mm, 2.4 mm, or 1.85 mm for broadband RF applications.
